Ghana launches online vehicle licensing system
24/2/ 2014
Ghana’s Driving and Vehicle licensing Authority (DVLA) has launched an online service delivery system to reduce fraud and improve service delivery.
The new system will run concurrently with the old manual system until the end of September this year, when the old system will be phased out.
The Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DVLA, Mr Rudolph Beckley, said applicants for driver licensing and new vehicle registration would be able to use the new platform from their homes and internet cafes.
The new platform has been installed in DVLA’s offices located in Accra, Tema, Weija and Kumasi and that the rest of the offices would be connected by the end of March.
